DaaS: Desktop As A Service
Desktop as a Service is a desktop virtualization service that delivers cloud-based desktops, applications, etc. Consequently, users may access their virtual desktops from any location, on any device, at any time. A Cloud Managed Service Provider such as CDWT handles all resources, including storage, computing, network infrastructure, etc., relieving internal IT teams of their responsibilities.
With Desktop as a Service, CDWT, a major DaaS provider, assists businesses in transitioning to a virtual workplace in a safe and seamless manner. We deliver infrastructure that has been shown to be the finest in class and provide businesses the opportunity to automate and streamline desktop administration. CDWT provides DaaS solutions with end-to-end managed services supported by a single SLA and a reliable infrastructure.

In step 2, we configure the appropriate cloud subscription, build the landing zone, AD users, and on-premises policy/sync. Additionally, we setup Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Privileged Identity Management (PIM). We create DaaS Profiles and Environment, and then test the Profiles. Regarding on-premises data, we move and test. In addition, we setup DaaS infrastructure backup and Sync with on-premise storage (optional). After the deployment/migration is completed, we test and as a part of our fully managed virtual desktop solutions, we constantly monitor the health of these virtual desktops to identify & troubleshoot issues (if any).
Migration/Deployment of DaaS Environment:
- Azure Subscription
- Make a landing zone
- Create AD Users and Policy/Sync on-premises.
- Configure MFA/PIM (if required)
- Develop DaaS Capabilities and Environment
- Test Profiles
- Migrate on-premise data
- Examine and Commission
- Configure DaaS infrastructure backup
- Configure Sync with on-premise storage (optional)

Reasons To Implement DaaS
To maximise the benefits of remote and mobile work, businesses must recognise and overcome its primary difficulties. While ensuring company continuity, they must pay close attention to the technological and security demands of the staff.
- Less Command of Data and Systems
- Compliance and Security Concerns
- IT Administration That Is Difficult & Dreary
- Complex Infrastructure Management and High Prices
Since remote work becomes the norm, it is difficult to get insight into how corporate data is being used, as it may occasionally lead to data abuse or loss.
When workers work from home, there is a security risk to sensitive information stored on their device. In addition, there is a great likelihood that data is not managed in accordance with compliance rules.
IT Administrators spend a great deal of time setting up systems for new users, scaling up infrastructure, updating software on systems, etc., which is becoming more complex and time-consuming as teams expand.
When businesses invest in IT systems and personnel, they often meet idle capacity and outmoded systems, resulting in higher infrastructure expenses.
DaaS provides the benefits of cost optimization and scalability
There is no doubt that the way businesses operate has drastically altered. Enterprises are rapidly transitioning away from the traditional office-based workforce and increasing their dependence on public cloud/data centres for their IT Infrastructure requirements. Enterprises aspire to provide safe, adaptable, and scalable Digital Workspaces while taking into account cost, agility, productivity, and business continuity in an environment where people work remotely. Desktop as a Service is the optimal approach for assisting organisations with this abrupt and thorough change. And this shift may be made more seamless by cooperating with DaaS vendors.
DaaS vendors such as CDWT provide end-to-end virtual desktop services in the cloud. With CDWT’s Desktop as a Service, businesses can concentrate on other crucial matters while CDWT manages the setup, patch instals, Operating system (OS) upgrades, system updates and maintenance, etc. for their virtual desktops.
- Control IT/Infrastructure Costs and Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Security & Compliance
- Flexibility & Scalability
- High availability & Business Continuity
